Dr. James (Skip) Fix:

Dr. Skip Fix was born in Houston at St. Joseph's Hospital, like many Houstonians in the 1950s, but he grew up in North Dallas. He attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate and earned his BS in microbiology.  He graduated Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1978, where he met his wife, suturing her horse's wounds in the veterinary school  clinic. After a year in Miami, Florida working on race horses, like Alydar the Triple Crown runner up, he moved to Northern California and worked in a small animal and equine clinics.  In 1982 he and his wife moved back to Houston where he became one of the founding partners of West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates in 1984.  In 1998 he took ownership of Nottingham Animal Clinic, at our current location.

Dr. Fix has a special interest in surgery, ophthalmology as well as radiographic and ultrasound imaging. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

"Dee" has currently achieved his Open Obedience CDX title and competing in agility Excellent level classes.
